Five unique ways to add streamers to your wedding

There are so many wedding trends out there, it can be overwhelming. We totally get it. If you spend your downtime on Pinterest like we do, it is easy to go down a rabbit hole of trends. However, one unique wedding decor touch that is becoming increasingly popular is streamer fringe. They’re the perfect addition for your wedding and are extremely versatile when it comes to installation options! Check out these five unique ways to incorporate streamers in your wedding:

Entrance to reception. We live for a dramatic streamer entrance! Streamers are perfect for outdoor entrances, because not only will they catch your guests’ eyes, they also sound really amazing when they’re blowing in the wind! Nothing quite announces “the party is here!” quite like a colorful and dramatic entrance, and we also love how it sets the tone of the ambiance before your guests even walk in. We can help you pick the perfect selection of colors that will easily flow into your ceremony or reception space, making the install cohesive with your wedding!

As a backdrop. Streamers are the perfect backdrop for any part of your big day. We’re big fans of using streamers as a backdrop for your photo booth, sweetheart table, band, ceremony, bar, and cake table! It adds extra texture to your photos and layering colors will set your backdrop apart from other parts of the venue. We would go as far as saying streamers will save your dessert table! Most cake and dessert tables are in front of a window and having a backdrop will not only help with lighting, but also keep your desserts from melting. You’re welcome. You can even see our signature streamer install double as the backdrop of a photo booth and ceremony backdrop here!

Table décor. I don’t think we’re alone when we say table décor and centerpieces are one of the most the eye-catching parts of a reception. Centerpieces can truly make or break the vibe of your space, although this simple aspect can be easily overlooked. Having them hang above your table or dressing up a drab centerpiece with streamers and tinsel is a statement all on it’s own! If you like the minimal look, we recommend putting them behind chairs as an accent or using them as tassels to any balloons you may have at the reception.

Elevate the space. By hanging streamers on your reception ceiling, you will give your space a dramatic look! Not only do hanging banners add height to the space and making it look larger, but also it can add a dramatic affect with minimal effort. This works for indoor and outdoor receptions, but we love the look of streamers blowing in the wind. We also adore the look of tasteful streamers on trees, decorating your outside space.

Send off or celebration. Some of our favorite photos from the end of a party are the send off and when the couple walks down the aisle! Not every venue will allow you to use sparklers because of safety and confetti can be a tedious, patience-testing mess to clean. Streamers are the perfect tool to send off the newlyweds at the end of the reception or to celebrate the couple as they walk down the aisle as a married couple for the first time.
