Streamers for a lakeside fiesta-themed rehearsal dinner party
I was scrolling through Instagram stories late one night, as one does, when I came across a beautiful mood board Vanna from Blue Sparrow Events posted. The rich shades of pinks and oranges were definitely speaking to me, and I knew immediately that our streamers would be perfect, so I slid right on in to Vanna’s DMs to let her know about our streamer fringe services (she only knew us for balloons at that point!). She was thrilled we were now offering this decor, and shared it with the bride, Megan, the next day.
We connected with Vanna soon after to chat about the vision she and Megan had for the day, and what ideas we thought would work for the space at Oasis Texas Brewing Company. They had several goals: create a festive and colorful space, decorate with something unique that would wow guests (enter: streamer fringe!), and work with a local Austin-based company as opposed to having someone travel in.
After lots of brainstorming, taking measurements of the space and several rounds of mockups, we settled on a beautiful design with eight colors matching their moodboard. Streamers would be draped from the rafters of the outdoor 40 foot by 25 foot awning overlooking the lake, hanging low to create a more intimate space for Megan and Colton’s guests while they ate dinner. On the inside of the brewery, there would be small tables surrounding a large stage where toasts were to take place, and we dreamed up a garland and streamer design to bring attention to the space and cover up a large vinyl banner over the stage with the brewery’s logo on it.
In total for the outdoor space, we used 51 feet of yellow streamer fringe, 42 feet of peach, 30 feet of red and coral, and 21 feet of orange, light blue, turquoise and green. 216 feet of streamers suspended from the ceiling made a huge impact on the guests as they came up the stairs and into the space to kick off the wedding weekend. They perfectly matched the linens from Monarch Event Rentals and the luxurious furniture from Birch & Brass Rentals. The flower arrangements from Stems Floral Design could not have been more beautiful alongside the candlelit dining tables, and they incorporated all the same colors in the flowers that we used in the streamers. Everything was so lively and festive!
On the indoor portion of the venue, 54 feet of white garland was used to cover the brewery’s branding on a sign above the stage, and a bubbly balloon garland in shades of orange, coral, yellow red, blue and white framed the sides of the stage, going upwards towards the streamers above. Guests enjoyed speeches made from the stage, and off to the right a slideshow of old family photos played on a loop through the evening.
We are so grateful that Megan and Colton allowed us to be a part of their wedding weekend, and trusted us to create something amazing to wow their guests.
