Ameyalli and Cris's Wedding at Historic Mattie's Green Pastures

Is there anything more fascinating than an event venue with a rich history? That’s why we love Mattie’s Green Pastures, where Ameyalli and Cris tied the knot in October!

The South Austin restaurant and event venue was originally a farmhouse that belonged to Martha, or “Mattie” and Frank.

The couple raised five children in the home, and they later converted it into a southern home-cooking restaurant in 1946, where the family has been serving happy customers ever since! They also began hosting events on the property, and many governors, ambassadors, and celebrities have enjoyed Mattie’s southern hospitality.

The restaurant is a big part of Austin’s history, so it was the perfect place for Ameyalli and Cris to begin their story as husband and wife. Thank you Amber Vickery Photography for the gorgeous photos! Can you believe the stunning greenery intertwined with the bistro lights?

We loved creating a festive balloon and streamer garland to frame the dance floor. It’s obvious that this couple knows how to have a good time! If you’re asking us, balloon garlands and disco balls go hand in hand. Did we mention there was a mariachi band too?!

Ameyalli and Cris danced the night away with their guests, and we can see the love put into every detail of their romantic wedding, all the way down to the heart-shaped wedding cake covered in strawberries.

We’re wishing the newlyweds all the best! If you want to turn your next event into a party, contact us about creating a custom balloon and streamer garland.
